  • Tucked away on Litchfield Street, just a short walk from Leicester Square and the Seven Dials, Le Beaujolais has remained a quiet fixture of the neighborhood since 1972.

    We offer a simple, rustic space where the focus is entirely on the wine and the company.

    It’s a small piece of France caught between the vibrant streets of Soho and Covent Garden—a place to pause for a glass of terroir-driven wine before the theatre or after a long day in the city.

  • The experience at our bar is built on wine, cheese, and charcuterie.

    To complement our cellar, the kitchen provides hot bistro favorites such as steak and croque-monsieur. It is a simple approach to French dining, focused on the core elements of a traditional wine bar.

  • Our ground-floor wine bar is a welcoming, open space for everyone—perfect for a casual glass of French wine or a spontaneous lunch with friends.

    While our downstairs restaurant remains a private members-only club, everything starts on the ground floor.

    Here, we maintain a strictly independent, 'old-school' atmosphere where walk-ins are encouraged and the wine list is exclusively, proudly French.

  • Our bar is very small so in the evening we are walk-in only and all our tables are first come first served. Don’t be afraid to share tables!

    At lunch we accept a few bookings and keep the rest of our tables for walk-ins.

  • We would love to make everyone happy but we prefer to keep our bar open to everyone and cannot organize private events. We can take bookings at lunch time for groups of 14 people maximum. Please contact us directly for bookings of 5 or more guests.

  • Please let someone from our team know if you have any allergies or requirements. We cannot always cater to dietary requirements or allergies given our menu but we will let you know if we can.
