While the rest of London rushes, we invite you to step into a piece of French history. The ground-floor wine bar will be in full festive spirit, serving the 2026 Beaujolais Nouveau alongside our curated selection of artisanal French cheeses and charcuterie.

The ground-floor wine bar operates on our usual walk-in basis, maintaining the spontaneous energy of the festival.
A little history
While Beaujolais Nouveau became a global phenomenon in the 1980s, at Le Beaujolais, the tradition has remained unchanged since we first opened our doors in 1972. Every November, we celebrate the 'third Thursday' not just as a date, but as a connection to the French terroir.
We use this to not only cheer to the new vintage but also as an exploration of the Gamay grape—vibrant, fresh, and full of the season’s energy. When you celebrate with us, you are joining a fifty-year lineage of Londoners who have toasted to the harvest in this very spot on Litchfield Street.
